The two essential fatty acids of Omega-3 are DHA and EPA. Omega-3 fatty acids fall under the polyunsaturated fatty acids type that our body required to help the development, growth and functions of nervous systems.
The best sources of these fatty acids comes from deep sea fishes – salmon, sardine, trout, mackerel and several types of fresh water catfish. At the same time, Omega-3 also can be found in a plant based form – dark green leafy veggies, walnuts, canola oil, brazil nuts, flaxseed and its oil.
